Individual & couple psychotherapy

Psychotherapy is a type of treatment that can help individuals experiencing mental health conditions, relational and emotional difficulties. Psychotherapy can help alleviate negative feelings, identify the causes of one’s psychological malaise, and teach new emotional-relational strategies so that the person can feel better and have better management of their emotional and relational life.

Conditions that can be helped by psychotherapy include coping with stressful life events, the impact of trauma, adjusting to a medical illness, the occurrence of depression, anxiety or loss such as the death of a loved one, and others. There are several different types of psychotherapy and my approach is Gestalt psychotherapy. Please, visit the page “about” to read more about Gestalt therapy.

Couple therapy is a form of psychotherapy to help couples overcome interpersonal conflicts and improve romantic relationships. To work on communication is one of the key aspects. The level of motivation of each partner is highly important for a good outcome of the therapy. In some cases, personal therapy may be recommended to each partner so that couple therapy can focus on couple’s issues and each partner finds support for their personal matters from their individual therapist. Couple therapy may be even helpful to support a separation process.
